The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods, along with city council members Aaron Banks and DeKeither Stamps and sponsoring organizations, is hosting a South Jackson Unity and Pride Parade on Saturday, May 19, 2018. The purpose of the parade is to showcase South Jackson Neighborhood’s pride in their community and its viability as an economic and political entity within the city of Jackson. It also gives the opportunity to get the area schools and student involved as well as the various neighborhoods in South Jackson. The parade will show the tremendous talent and potential of South Jackson which can benefit all of Jackson.

The parade will consist of local bands, floats, decorated cars, motorcycles, horses, etc . We ask local businesses, churches and organizations to participate in the parade with floats and cars. Parade entry fee is $10 and vendor space is $25 per space.

The parade will begin at Save-a-Lot on McDowell Road and end at Thomas Cardozo Middle Schoo on McDowell Road Extension.
