Brrrrrrrrrrrrr -  It’s Cold Outside!!!!

All hands on deck!  Residents of Mississippi, and especially Jackson, have braced for extremely cold weather during the week of February 15-20, 2021.  In some areas, such as Jackson, residents have been dealt an extra blow.  The capital city is experiencing tremendous loss of water pressure throughout the city.  All of this, in the midst of the pandemic, Covid-19.

To assist our neighbors throughout the southern area of town, The Association of South Jackson jumped into action.  President Ernest Ward and Vice President Johnny Byrd were in contact with City Councilman DeKeither Stamps and MS House of Representative Ronnie Crudup, District 71 and other City leaders.   Other members of ASJN took to the telephones to find out who in the area and beyond needed water.  Never asking for pay, always willing to lend a helping hand, Ernest Ward and Johnny Byrd coordinated trucks to pick up pallets of water from WalMart and began delivering water to neighbors in need.

Residents may pick up bottle water from Fire Stations #23 (Raymond Rd across from Forest Hill High School),  #24 (Wiggins Rd) and #25 (Siwell Rd near Hillcrest Christian School).

Thanks to MS House Representative Ronnie Crudup, District 71 for purchasing pallets of bottled water to assist neighbors and constituents.
