Working Amid City Water Crisis
January 6, 2023, The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods answered the call for service to its’ surrounding neighborhoods. Random acts of kindness doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated by ASJN. Special thanks to Representative De’Keither Stamps for providing Attorney Vangela Wade with contact information for ASJN President, Mr. Ernest Ward to ensure that we service the citizens who are without basic necessities during this crisis.
ASJN was privileged to bless nine subdivisions/communities with water, hand sanitizer, and wipes. The nine subdivisions/communities that were recipients are as follows: Cedar Hills, Carriage Hills, Willowood, Brookhollow, Brookleigh Hills, Leavell Woods, Swan Lake, Oak Creek, and Westside.
Our city has faced and is facing critical times where we all are learning how to depend on one another; as well as, the resources of non-profit/501c3 organizations—such as, ASJN to assist in the decline of necessary resources that are needed which is plaguing our communities during this drought.
We are pleased with the constant support of businesses and corporations who see the hard work that we continuously demonstrate within our city, and without hesitation contribute to the cause. There are several sponsors and individuals that made this distribution possible and we want to thank them. It is through their financial contributions, networking, manual labor, and support that we were able to bless our fellow communities.
Attorney Vangela Wade, MS Center for Justice

We want to continue to work with our elected officials, community partners, and neighborhoods to achieve one goal
which is improving the quality of life for the citizens of Jackson!
