Community Movie Night

Thursday, July 17, 2025, the Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) presented a free Community Movie Night for the entire family and everyone at the Peggy Calhoun Community Center located at 4243 Willowood Blvd. There were free refreshments and a welcome break for the children and their families as they prepare for the upcoming school year.
 
ASJN, along with our partners and sponsors AMR and Southern Echo  realized that there was a need during these hot summer months to provide relief from stress and tension of families during these hot summer days and provided some relief for the parents, guardians and others within our communities. This was made possible by our sponsors and community leaders for providing the hot dogs, chips, water, drinks and pizzas.

We would also like to thank the Jackson Police Department and Hinds County Sheriff Department for providing security and a safe environment. Our communities are grateful for their service and dedication for making us feel safe and sound, along with all the elected officials that provided support.
