Book Bag & School Supplies Giveaway

The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) would like to thank Jessica Gunther and Comcast, Jim Pollard and AMR, the 242- A H.M. Thompson Court Heroines of Jericho, the T.C. Amore Lodge No. 242, and the King Kingdom Barber Lounge and volunteers for coordinating the donation of their time and over 380 book bags, supplies and other items at the Peggy Calhoun Community Center Saturday, July 26, 2025 to help families start their Fall 2025 school year.

ASJN also distributed book bags and school supplies Friday, July 25, 2025 at the several elementary schools throughout South Jackson area which included Wilkins Elementary, Key Elementary, Bates Elementary and Timberlawn Elementary school.   A special thanks to all of the schools and their staff for welcoming us at each of their facilities and allowing us to engage with their students, parents and staff. ASJN Vice-President, John Byrd along with Gwen Wilks, Secretary of ASJN and Stephanie Chatman (Wingfield HOA President and Treasurer of ASJN) organized and executed the delivery of the book bags at the various schools.
