ASJN and Walmart Donate to Batson Children’s Hospital

The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN), in conjunction with Walmart on Greenway Drive in Jackson, MS, recently made a donation to Blair E. Batson Children’s Hospital. On July 27, 2021, Ernest Ward, President of ASJN, presented a check to Luke Carroll, Manager of Walmart Store #903, in the amount of $832.00. Each WalMart in the Jackson Metro area was tasked with raffling a 50’ HD television to benefit the hospital. To support Walmart, ASJN sold over 416 tickets at $2.00 each. The proceeds will be used to benefit Mississippi’s only children’s hospital and help provide life-changing care to generations of children.

Walmart is a corporate sponsor that ASJN can call upon to assist with various events and activities within the community, whether its financial or in-kind contributions. ASJN and Walmart continue to enjoy a long standing partnership that is vital to the goals and objectives of the South Jackson community.
