Drive - in Movie Theater  

Saturday night always been an exciting time for school children to take a break from school for the summer Saturday night, May 28, 2022, was no different.  The Association of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) opened its first 2022 Outdoor Drive - in Movie Theater to the South Jackson community in the parking lot of the Peggy Hobson Calhoun Community Center, 4243 Willowood Blvd. 

ASJN, realized the need to provide relief from stress and tension to families during the current pandemic, water crisis and murders that effecting our community.  One way to relieve stress is to change the course of action and provide great quality family time.  

This is the first fundraiser of this year follow by many more to come for Wingfield and Forest Hill High Schools and made possible by sponsors. The While moviegoers watched “King Richard”, Wingfield and Forest Hill coaches delivered great refreshments directly to their cars.  Refreshments included hot dogs, chips, drinks, cookies and fresh popcorn popped from an old fashion popcorn machine.
