Associated of South Jackson Neighborhoods (ASJN) and Jackson Association of Neighborhoods (JAN) joined efforts to bring our communities together to learn more about how we can work at our level to build and maintain strong neighborhoods. The educational forum was a reminder to all that we need to do more to hold our elected officials accountable. The Guest for this session was Commissioner Willie Simmons for the Central District of Mississippi Department of Transportation.

The Commissioner's educational session also provided updates on the progress and challenges of construction and upgrade of federal and state roads, county and municipal streets and bridges as well as details on the Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside Program ( TAAP).
